Why a podcast before the book?
I started this podcast to explain the thoughts and the process behind the book. To share my pain, my insights and my learnings with friends, guests and strangers. To start the conversations about identity, culture, work, love, failure, success and much more.
For years, I’ve carried questions about identity, belonging, and what it means to live between cultures. Writing my book has been a way to understand those experiences but some stories don’t wait patiently for publication. They need to be spoken, explored, and shared in real time.
This podcast is a space for that.
It’s where I begin the conversations behind the book. Where I reflect, question, and give voice to the moments, thoughts, and feelings that shaped my story before they are fully formed into chapters.
If my book is the destination, this podcast is the journey.
And maybe, in listening, you’ll recognize parts of your own story too and together you we can become a part of the “But where are you really from” tribe filled with love and understanding. Or if you don´t have a similar story, you´ll gain understanding about other people´s life experiences, about immigrants, refugees, women in the corporate world and much more. There is something for everyone. The stats show it too with a 45% male audience and 55% female listening audience. It is popular in Scandinavia, Taiwan, The US, The UK, India, Albania, Kosovo, Singapore, Australia and many other countries which shows me that the podcast has a potential to connect people from all walks of life and ethnicities.
Below links to the podcast episodes in English, Albanian and Danish. The episodes vary and there is a description in all of them. The podcast is available on Spotify, Apple podcasts, Amazon, Goodpods and many other channels.
